Amelia, my endless source of entertainment, has really been keeping me on my toes lately. In the latest Amelia News:
We're still fighting with the potty training. I'm baffled. She can wear a pair of panties and go accident free for hours, going to the potty with no problems, not wetting her pants. You put the kid in a Pull-Up and she will pee within 15 minutes.
While putting her in a clean Pull-Up the other day she glanced down at her "girly parts." She said to me, "Look Mommy! Look at my Pee-Butt! It's so pretty!" Okay......
Thomas was touching her on accident last night before bed. He was laying on my lap half-heartedly nursing. She was sitting on my legs like usual. He glanced over and saw her and his little arms started flapping in excitement. His hand glanced across her back. She turned around and said, "Mommy! Thomas touch me! You hit him." I said, "No, I will not hit him." "Yes! You hit him. He touch me!" Any little thing that causes her the slightest distress or feeling of being wronged should be punished with Mommy or Daddy hitting that person. Sorry kid, I don't think so.
Oh yes, and Sweetheart. Her finger. Sweetheart is constantly doing something. "Mommy! Sweetheart is falling! Sweetheart is crying. He needs his pacifier. Sweetheart is touching my face!" And on and on. Poor Sweetheart. Always taking the blame.
That kid is something else.

ReplyDeleteNot all kids take to potty training as easily as you and Courtney did. The only touble you had was it took a long time for you when it came to number 2. Someday she will get tired of being in dirty diapers or pull ups and it will be a miracle. Keep the faith Mommy, it will happen.
