About the Ihle Family

John

The man of the house.  The primary breadwinner.  Super-Dad extraordinaire.  Able to talk children and Mom down from the walls when necessary.  Always up for a new challenge.

Likes:  Winter, Diet Mountain Dew, Guiness, snowboarding, Xbox, and endless home improvement projects.

Dislikes:  Summer, health foods, anything with mayo or mustard, reading books, and wimpy beer.

Tracie

Chief cook and bottle washer.  Spends most days fighting with children and changing diapers, with the occasional evening hours spent cutting fruits and veggies at the local grocery store.  Trying and failing most days to be a better mom than the previous day.

Likes:  Babies, Hawaii, cheese, healthy foods, cooking, baking, sewing, reading, learning new things, the Catholic Church, and taking care of my family.

Dislikes:  Winter, cleaning snow and ice off of my van, my postpregnancy bodily challenges, snakes, waking up in the night and not being able to find my glasses, and constantly needing to lose another 20+ pounds.

Amelia

The oldest of our rotten bunch.  Amelia just finished Kindergarten and can't wait for first grade to begin.

Likes: Babies, writing stories, reading books, waiting for her prince to come, singing, dancing, helping Mommy, snuggling with Daddy, snakes, Lalaloopsy, almost any kind of fruit, rice and beans, and being good.

Dislikes: Her little brother, chicken unless it is in nugget form, potatoes unless they are in french fry, potato wedge, or potato chip form; sitting still through the last 10 minutes of Mass, and 3D movies because they are "too scary."

Thomas

Thomas was recently promoted to middle child status and has made his opinions about it very well known.

Likes: Being rotten, not listening to his mommy, lettuce (???), carrots (again, ????), Phineas and Ferb, The Lorax, any character from The Avengers series, cars and trucks, dinosaurs, and stage diving off the kneelers at Mass.

Dislikes: Behaving EVER, sitting still at any time, using his indoor voice during any part of Mass, rainy days because he doesn't get to run around outside, being nice to his older sister, and being told to stop smothering his younger sister.

Lydia

The newest member of our family, she was born in April of this year, and is known to her parents as the happiest of surprises.

Likes: Smiling, eating on demand, sleeping through the night, trying to roll onto her tummy, her swing, and being outside.

Dislikes: Not being fed immediately upon demand, her noisy siblings when she is cranky, having her nap interrupted, dirty diapers, and getting trampled by the dogs.
